Steps on how to find a flattering fitt

Picking the right sweater is the first step. When choosing a sweater, I consider the neckline, the shape and length, as well as the material. When it comes to how a sweater looks on your body, these three factors make a huge difference.
Round necklines are my preferred necklines, but I don't discriminate against other necklines. When wearing a less flattering neckline (like a mock neck!) I try to elongate my neck with jewelry.
When buying plus-size sweaters, I pay special attention to shape and length. I try to avoid sweaters that are boxy or are more like a sweatshirt. This is where they are loose at the waist but fitted at the hips. I try to go for fitted styles that show my natural waist. I also like sweaters to tuck into high-waisted pants or skirts. For comfort, I love a tunic-length sweater to wear with leggings or a skirt. In this case, I’ll just look for something that covers my tush. I sometimes add a cropped jacket to draw attention to my waist but often just let it hang loose and bask in the comfort of the outfit!
Lastly, I think about the material. I love chunky knits but sometimes they make you look larger than you are, but sometimes I prefer something smoother and thinner. One trick is if you have a bulky sweater that you want to tuck into your pants or skirt
